Pickleball is a fast growing sport with easy to follow rules, however the growth of the sport is so rapid and competitors are so creative, rules are constantly evolving.
Don’t worry, the basic rules of play have not changed since the sports inception. The changes often addressed are associated with spin serves and paddle technology.

Pickleball Etiquette
Pickleball is fun and the players are welcoming. As new players join our community we must make it our mission to lead them in how they should go by encouraging them to always be generous and considerate. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the world because of its welcoming and friendly community.
Always introduce yourself at the net prior to game starts.
Be gracious when calling balls in or out.
In recreational play, consider the skill level of your opponent and try to hit shots they can handle. Don’t pick on the weaker players.
Be nice. I know competing is fun but don’t hit smashes at your opponents that are above the waste.
If you do hit your opponent, always apologize and check to see if they are injured or need help.
When a ball hits the top of the net and drops in, be sure to apologize to your opponent. It just makes them feel better.
Have fun, moreover make sure your opponents are having fun.
